Brief Description:  Conduit run... prepping the ribs

Good time to think about how to get my electrical connections from the aft to the front....
I plan to use Vans 3/4 conduit and have four runs from aft to firewall. I wanted 1 inch conduit, but the stuff I found was either too heavy or came in 1000 foot rolls. Only needed about 25 feet. I decided to open one of the ribs under the rear seat so the conduit can get to the side where it can come up in the wall. The wall will eventually be covered hiding the conduit runs seen above the floor. I cut two 3/4 inch oval openings in a suitable doubler and used it as a pattern for the rib. After riveting the two together, the opening was treated with spring fast caterpillar. The lower conduit is 1 1/4 inch from the bottom skin which will be filled with closed cell aircraft insulation.

The three antenna runs (COMMs 1 & 2 under the belly and NAV 1 under the tail) will have separate 1/4" PEX conduit.
