Brief Description: Angle of Attack Sensors, Aileron Bias Spring Insta
After testing the Duckwork lights in the left wing, I installed the Angle of Attack (AOA) sensors in the left wing. Placing the AOA on 7 1/4 inches from the wing tip connection will help assure advance warning of a stall because a stall begins at the wing tip. The sensors are plugged into two lines which feed pressure measurements into a computer. As instructed, I used fuel tank sealant to seal the units to the upper and lower wing skin. Next I soldered a 6 position Allied Quick Disconnect terminal on the end of the aileron trim wiring, completing the wiring harness for the aileron trim. After installing a couple cushion clamps to keep the wire away from the push tubes and bias springs, I installed the bias springs and trim servo motor to the underside of the left wing. The servo motor is installed on the back of the inner most inspection plate.
