I appreciated all the input Olsen had on his web site and decided to locate my Pitot tube in the same bay on the left wing. After sizing the sensor to fit the tube as well as the mounting plate and shim plate it all went together pretty well. I too used a piece of angle. I had to add a spacer between the rib and the angle to shift it right so that the rivets would center in the angle. I then installed nut plates for the controller. I am not sure I will leave it this way. The controller has spacers to keep the circuit board away from the metal surface. It may be difficult to reinstall should I need to repair it in the future. I may add a mounting plate for the controller.. and then mount that assembly so I don't have to be concerned about the spacers. The photo of the controller is to document the wire landing points.
