Brief Description: Final test fit prior to final assembly
With all the parts ready for final assembly (using proseal) I wanted to make sure it was going to go smoothy... so I test fit the entire tank one last time. Takes about an hour to assemble the fuel tank and another 35 minutes to take it appart. Once I was satisfied that the tank was going to assemble without problems, I manufactured 6 plates to cover the allignment holes in the outboard rib, the inboard nose rib and the inboard aft part of the rib. After cleaning, and dimpling all parts, I prosealed them and riveted them in place. I also attached the fuel tank vent fitting. Plan is to proseal the drain, float nutplates and tank stiffeners on Monday so that the tank can be final assembled on Wednesday.
