Taking a break from the wing tips to get started on repairing the finish on the fuselage. The powder coating from the factory left quite a lot to be desired. So, we have brought the fuselage back form the hanger and have begun dis-assembly in preparation for rust removal, treatment, priming and painting. Carroll and I will be doing quite a lot of work on the fuselage to get it ready to repaint in epoxy. The powder coating seems to have quite a lot of pinholes (most likely due to out gassing from poor preparation or proper cleaning prior to being powder coated). As you can see from the pictures, we have a lot of surface rust to tackle. So, everything must be removed and work begun to eliminate this from happening again.
