Brief Description:  Fuselage

Today we spent our time at the hanger making lists of what needs to be accomplished on the fuselage prior to installing the wings. Previously, Carroll and I had reamed the hinges for the elevator and rudder but failed to lubricate them. Doing that left plenty of opportunity for them to rust.. So, most of the day was taken cleaning all of them. What a mess.

It seesm that mud dobbers like small holes more than they do larger ones. Every hinges was packed and had to be cleaned out. Man they made homes everywhere. Regardless, each one has been cleaned, had all the rust removed, degreasesd, blued and lubricated. To remove any possibility of a return by these critters, we taped up every opening they might use to repeat their mischief.

In addition, we also moved the location of the main gear from tail dragger configuration to nose wheel. Now once we have our firewall cut out and ready to install, we will install the engine mount and nose gear
