Picked up the position light baSSES I had printed localy. Cost $ 4.50 each. Had six sets made. three small and three larger (for the BK Flyer project my brother in-law is working on himself.
After several attempts and errors using Fusion 360, and passing the learning curve to an acceptable point, I was able to get an acceptable #D drawing finished. I emailed it to the local shop I found and picked them up three days later. They came out rather nice. There were some artifacts that need to be removed and some sanding to be done, but they finshed up well. They are primed and have one coat of paint to see what imperfections need to be worked out.
These bases will be sanded, primed, sanded again and then layered with Bare Metal Chrome Foil then polished and insertion of the LED lamps.
Now onto blowing the lenses for them. So, tomorrow I will cut and shape the plugs for vacuum forming the lexan lenses.
