Brief Description: Wing stands / inspection of work
Carroll and I spent about six hours taking apart the work table and using it to construct our wing cradle. It was hot. It was muggy. It was just plain miserable today. We persevered and now have the wings in the cradle an we now have more room available in my garage.
We did a thorough inspection of the wings to determine what else needs to be don and what should be redone. We still have to complete the flap bearing on the left wing, install the fuel line fittings in the tanks and we will have to replace the flap hinge brackets on the left wing. Not sure how but, the hinge brackets pull the flap out of true on the inboard end of the flap. So, we will have to make new hinge brackets and remove the old ones and re install them correctly. Not a big deal but it just takes away from the items that need to be addressed and delays taking the wings to the hanger.
