I am adding the last couple of days to this log entry. Camcorder battery was dead and I had to place it on charge. Not much was accomplished since the last entry.. All I have been doing is filling and sanding spotting compound on both the aileron and the flap. it has been rather cool temp wise, so the cure time is a lot longer.
Anyway, I was able to cut out the balsa end caps for the flap and get them installed and shaped to there final shaper and filling started. I have not done much on the aileron in a few days since I got distracted by the flap ends. Time wise, it has notbeen much work but, waiting for gleu and compound to cure takes time in low temps. We hope to get back on track in a few days.
Template on balsa stock. Ready to mark and rough cut, prior to fitting.
Area of flap to fill with balsa. Must do the same on aileron.
