Almost done with the bottom of the aileron. Once this last application of spotting compound is sanded smooth, we can work on the top side. This last coat will have to be sanded with 320 and then 400 before it can get its coat of shellac. Once the shellac dries, this stuff will be like concrete. Its only a very small thin coat but, it is a pain to sand smooth correctly. We use a small section of Ceconite to check for flaws and then make corrections.
