Spent about an hour this AM trying to finish the aileron rework. It has been a rough week. Christmas time is supposed to be fun, exciting and joyous. For the most part, it was, But we had a death in the family that put a halt on the joyous time together. So, I had a small window of time today to see what I could get done. Surprisingly, I was able to complete the alignment and installation of the hinges to the replacement spar. It did not take too much time and it gave me some time alone as I worked. It seems that everything came out great. The hinges are properly aligned, the spar was drilled, deburred, surfaces prepped and the hinges epoxied and riveted in place. Now to wait for the curing to complete and maybe we can get back on track. I also made some repairs to the foam leading edges and will have to shape the repaired sections before I epoxy them back in place.
