Brief Description:  Aileron saga continues

Today, I remeasured and cut the new spar and dry fitted it in place. Measured and marked the areas that will be epoxied in preparation for surface abrasion. I also removed the work surface from the flap position and set it back up for rebuilding the aileron. The manufacturer of this kit thinks this is a good way to build the control surfaces, not really. It is a big pain in the butt to get this work surface squared and level to the wings. Lots of shims and blocks required in order to get it right and then you have to secure it so it does not move on you. Big pain in the rear! Anyway, the work surface is set and now I can get ready to spot epoxy the spar to the ribs once I get all the alignment complete and the spar marked and prepped.
