Brief Description:  Lots of things today

Spent the day working on several things today. I discovered that the slots I cut in the Flap are not long enough. I had to deepen the slots by 3/8ths of an inch to allow the Flap to sit in its proper upright position. I was not happy about that. Oh well, things happen and you have to fix or replace them. Slots are now deep enough and ready to repair the Dacron in the bottom of the slot.

I removed the Bondo from the rear of the tank and will slice it to make my template tomorrow. I also made the Flap Stop the will be riveted between the Flap hinge brackets. The manual says to make them from plywood but, I think that it would be better to make them from stock aluminum. I will have to pick up some ¼” thick aluminum this week. Enough for today. Time to think some things through before we get back to work.
