Brief Description:  Glassing the left Aileronleading edge.

It took us 5 1/2 hours to glass the leading edge of the left Aileron today. Since the slurry coat had to flash before we could begin the first lay of glass, we, prepped the left Flap for next week.

Once the slurry coat had flashed, we applied the first then the second lay of glass. pretty quickly. We had a heck of a time trimming around the ribs and spar area. It lead to a real mess on the floor and work table. we had one area the gave us a bit of a headache and even with special attention to it, we still ended up with a very small bubble. so, we punctured it and squeezed in more resin. behind it only tomorrow will tell if the fix worked. It was not in a critical area (it is behind the rib edge line and will not be visible when covered), it bothered the heck out of me.

Anyway, we had one heck of a mess to clean up. Than k the Good Lord that Acetone cleans up the resin so well. I will have to resurface my garage once the plane is finished but, it is a small price to pay.
