With Carroll out of town for the last few weeks, progress has been slow. I had hoped to have the wing rib attachments half completed furring this week by working in the evenings after work. Unfortunately, life happened. So, today I got started on rib 3 and the drag tube reattachment.
Prepped the rib attach area for rib 3 and triple checked alignment and all measurements, then did it again. Fear factor I guess. Anyway, once I was comfortable with this I drilled out the first drag tube attachment holes and clecoed them in place. I then rechecked all the measurements. Right on the money. Whew!
Now rib 3 is epoxied in place and curing. I hope to get rib 4 epoxied in place and the drag tubes epoxied and riveted this afternoon. I will be half way complete with the rebuild. Then we can get to work completing them per the manual.
