Brief Description:  Finished prepping 3 ribs for re-Epoxy

I have spent every spare moment allowable since our last entry, getting 3 ribs ready to re-Epoxy. What a mess and very difficult to do. I am getting to be an expert in removing Hysol. If it is thick and even, its not a bad job. However, if it is thin and uneven, Its a bear to remove safely! I nicked several areas on rib # 2. I had to spend twice the time just to ensure the nicks were sanded out correctly and used my microscopic camera to inspect each rib joint to ensure no bad spots or deep scratches. I used about 10 feet or emory cloth just on these three ribs. The Hysol realy fills up and wears down the emory cloth fast. 360 grit becomes 600 grit fast.

I also spent most of the down time going over the gear and brakes in preperation for getting it up on its feet. The manual for the kit is not the greatest. Very little detail and vague to the point of "see the picture? Were sorry its been photocopied so many times but, you can barely see how its supossed to be can't you? That's what it looks like. Just make it look like this."

Thank God for builders groups!
