Spent this nice cool morning in the garage working on the trailing edge. I filled the low spots with lightweight filler and sanded the heck out of it until it was as close as possible to true. Once it was all shaped and sanded, I cleaned up the mess and applied a coat of spotting compound. I will wait for this to cure overnight since it is getting hot again. The garage gets to be like an oven on humid days. So far it is looking good. I will sand in the morning and use my straight edge to check for low and high spots. It might take a few days to get it right with several thin layers and lots of sanding. Once it is done, I will cut the hinge bracket slots, repair the slight bow in the edge and varnish the tops of the ribs and the trailing edge and itself. From there it is a matter of fitting the brackets and starting on the flap and aileron.
