Well, between Work, Christmass and my Favorite Girl (my dog) having knee surgery, December has been a VERY slow month for working on the plane. We purchased a bandsaw to cut the Stiffeners from Just Aircraft and found we could not find a 24tpi blade for this saw. It seems this unit was designed for woodworking not metal working. So, we ended up using 18TPI which worked out just fine.
Anyway, the relief cutouts are done. Now we have to complete the finish work on these. Lots of filing and polishing. This is going to take a bit of effort but, it will get done. Once they are ready, we will clean the shop (garage) and prep the wings and install them. I look forward to this being compeleted. I hope to have the wings remounted to get other items completed as I stated in a previous post.
