Brief Description: Assembly of the left wing Aileron
Another 3 days of lost time due to Social activity in the valley !
Back in the shed, marked out the ribs onto the inside of the trailing edge skin and then back drilled 3/32 pilot holes.
Fitting the trailing edge skin first without drilling into the spar. This will allow any amount of twist in the aileron so it can be aligned with the wash out built into the wing.
I guessed the amount of twist required by packing under the trailing edge of one end of the skin when clamping to the table when drilling the holes into the spar.
Drilling into the spar usin 3/32 pilot holes is done after fitting the leading edge skin which overlaps the the trailing edge skin.
