Brief Description: Left wing, fuel tank area bottom skin support.
Very inconsitant details & drawings in the area under the fuel tank, but after finishing the beefing up of the stringers in this area yesterday, I made a decission to run two fore & aft supports, equally spaced. I folded up two lengths of 1" X 1" angle from scrap .025 and then notched out for the stringers.
I am happy that I did this as it has improved the rigidity of the stringers in the area considerably.
I then turned the framework to rest on the front spar, set it up square, ready to be able to place the skins against the structure so as to mark all the ribs, stringers & spars onto the inside of the skin.
By doing this, the centre lines of all components can then be drawn onto the skin and rivet position spacings can be marked & drilled, with a garantee that no rivets will mis a rib or stringer.
