Brief Description: Strengthening the rear spar left wing.
Following the visit from the Aeronautical Engineer and being somewhat comforted by his advice and affirmation that what I had planned would not be detrimental and would actually give a considerable increase in the spar strengths, I proceeded to finish the drilling of the laminated re-inforcing plates and spar.
I was advised to use 5/32 solid rivets through the areas of greatest thickness.
De-burring and prep cleaning for etch priming completed.
I used the rivet spacing layout as a template for the rear spar for the right wing re-inforcing plates.
