Brief Description:
Making the Fairing to the Vert. Stab.
My method described here is in no way recommended, but just tells my story.
Step 1 was to cut a stiff cardboard to shape with a nice cure and tape it in place.
Step 2 was to use pottery clay and form up the desired shape. Used clingwrap to keep it from drying out & cracking overnight.
Step 3 was to use plaster that is easily sanded to cover over the clay.
It was about now that I realised that I was actually building the formwork for a mould and not the formwork for the fairing itself.
