Brief Description: Forming tips to elevator & horizontal stab.
Having finished the skin on the right side elevator I moved on to forming the tips of the assembled elevator & stabiliser using 1" dia aluminium tube. I cut the tube to length then using the band saw ( the most helpful power tool in the workshop), I cut lengthways along one side of the tube then squashed the tube into a "U" shape to match the thickness of the stabiliser and the elevator. At the leading and trailing edges I sqashed the tupe to a taper and then filled the ends with an epoxy bog/glue mixture that can be sanded and shaped when fully cured.
Having compled this, I then started on the skinning of the left elevator
The surface area of the assembled elevator & horizontal Stabiliser is considerable.
