Brief Description:  Looking at the construction of a Tundra

Going out west to spend a few days on a 50.000 acre property I had the opportunity to call in to take a look at Bob Bellert's Dream Aircraft Tundra kit he is building.
It is easy to see why the Tundra kit is more expensive, it is all predrilled and CNC jigged & cut.
Bob said that all the holes match up perfectly.
He has his wings and tail feathers completed so is a fair way ahead of me I think.

The Tunda and L164 Bush Caddy are nearly a clone of each other in size, however I think that the Tundra will be lighter in construction, there are many more light weight ribs and frames to assemble, and looks as though it would be a faster aircraft to build with everything matched up and predrilled.

One way of making the comparrison would be to say that the Tundra kit looks more refined.

I plan on leaving my wings to last, just hope I can do them as quickly as Bob did his..
