I have been aware for many years about the work involved with fitting engine baffles, but what I did not know was that a Lycoming engine can have many different cylinder head configurations.
The plan to do the baffles the easy way by purchasing a kit from Vans has only partly saved me some of the work, as it has now come to light that the side plates do not match my cylinders.
I also found that the Snorkle and air filter kit will most likely need considerable modification if I am to use it. Bugger!
