During the last few days before removing the wings, I once again re- installed the fuel tanks and made the connections at the wing root for both wings and then filled the main tanks for the first time since sloshing.
Other than a minor leak at one of the fuel selector connections, I was delighted to find that the tanks held slightly more than the 25 US gallons ( Approx 94.5 Lit ) . They held just over 100 lit. each side, and my gravity fuel flow in a level flight position was just over 120 Lit/hr, which is close to double the required amount at take off power. With fuel pump on, the fuel flow registered over 150 lit./ hr.
The fuel level sight guages that I made were easy to read and I marked the level flight positions of 1/4, 1/2, & 3/4 respectively for eash tank.
The "Red Cube" fuel flow sender worked as it should, and I programmed the fuel flow guage from gallons to Litres.
I will mark the 3 point levels during final assembly.
All very satisfying !
I the removed the wings and repositioned the Fuselage back inside ready for the engine installation.
