Brief Description:  Right wing fuel tank

After completeing the leading edge rivets, I removed the fuel tank from the right wing and started the final preparation for priming the exterior surface and applying the 3M EC-776 slosh coating to the inside.

I used this slosh compound in the fuel tanks of my RV4 and it has proved to be very good.

Rather than buy it through an "Approved Aviation" outlet, I found that I could buy the identical product though a local retail outlet (Blackwoods), for about 1/3 the price. Funny what happens if you take "aircraft" out of the specification !

After thoroughly rinsing the tank with isopropyl alcohol an airing it for 24 hours, I poured in a can of the fuel resistant coating and rotated the tank numerous times to fully coat the inside surface.

I then set the tank up to drain and left it for another 24 hours.
