Brief Description: Left wing bottom side stringers
After turning the wing over yesterday, today I started by installing the flush 1/8 rivets in the spar cap in the areas of the splice and backing plates . This is not something that the drawings call for, however in the recent visit by an Aeronautical Engineer, he advised that it would be a good idea to do this as added stregth will result in these areas.
After finshing the riveting of the stringers I then started on the area under the fuel tank, and using the short lengths of slightly heavier 'U' channel provided to use in lieu of the stringers in this area, I instead ran the stringers full length to the root end wing rib and used the chanels as backing reinforments after first checking that the fuel tank would not touch the stringers with the channel backing.
