Brief Description:  Sorting out the bits

Started to arrange the different components for the wings.

Found that many of the parts are not as shown on the drawings, it looks as though a number of changes to the spars have been made, for instance, the arrangement of the lightening holes, the deletion of the leading edge stringers, spar thicknesses etc, however none of these have been recorded on the drawings or the assembly manual.

The drawings for the wings and fuel tanks are particularly poor with many contradictory examples of measurments and part numbers

I found that one of the flap control cranks had been welded together by someone who was probably either drunk or stoned, or both, Another example of the lack of quality control procedures being employed by the kit supplying outfit.

Another example of no QA, was the different lengths of the rear spars, one had been cut nearly 3/8 " shorter than the other,
