Brief Description:  Aileron & flap cable rigging arrangements

Before going any further with the interior lining fitout, I have arrived at the point where I need to address the running of the aileron and flap control cables so today I headed in this direction.

Thanks to Cam Abbott & his dad Bill, ( these guys are also building an L164, located somewhere in Canada), I can finally use a few of the stainless boat rigging cable runners that they so kindly sent to me.

In order to run the control cables behind the interior linings I decided to mount these small rollers wheels onto the side wall cabin frame as shown in pic 1.

I set up string lines through the cable pulleys to ensure clearance from the rudder cables and also placed the flap and aileron push rods through the upper cabin to get the positions of the various components. (If only I had these few pics when I was trying to figure out how it all went together about one year ago.!
