Brief Description:  First of the avionics aerials.

Because I like the way they look and the price of the steam driven instruments and avionics stuff, and also becaus I like to keep up to date with the cricket, football and news in general when flying around out bush, a radio with ADF abilities has always been my intention. I find they come in very handy to get the ATIS at military control zones here in Aussie land whilst still listening out on the local area frequency, and there is music at other times.
I have a number of these that I have collected over the years along with the correct cables, plugs and mounting plates and aerials, tested and with serviceable tags, so it was time to make the decision as to where the aerial was to be located and make up the mounting bracket attachment prior to the fitting of the bottom skin.

There are those that worry about the weight, well I figure I'll just have to loose a few KG's to make up for this added antique.
