During the past couple of days I have been working on the mounting brackets in conjunction with fitting the lower cabin skins.
Contrary to the steps detailed in the manual, I feel it is much easier to mark out, drill and fit these brackets before fitting all of the bottom skins.
Lining up and clamping ready for drilling was a piece of cake.
After satisfying myself of the correct locations and double checking every measurment, I started with 3/32 holes and worked up to the final hole size in 3 stages of drilling.
If the cabin bottom skins had been hard fixed prior to fitting the undercariage brackets, lining up, drilling, deburring and would all be far more difficult.
