Brief Description:  changing engine mount

First day back working on the aircraft in about 3 months. We removed the engine first then took off the engine mount from the firewall. Next was to install the engine mount onto to the engine, torque to the correct amount and cotterpinned. Then the fun began, we had to make room for the gear legs (image 2) by grinding out some of the overlap forward of the firewall. Took us awhile to get the near gear legs into the engine mount, it is a very tight fit! Then we had even more fun trying to line up the 6 bolts that hold the engine mount to the firewall. The gascolator had to be removed to make room for the new engine mount, we will have to relocate it abount 1 inch. We ended up using one of the old bolts, grinding it down into a bullet to use as a guide for the new engine mounting bolt, eventually worked out OK.
Next day we will reattach all the wires, fuel lines, hoses etc. I took lots of pictures in case we need them as a reference.
