Brief Description: Wired Left Wing & Ran Pitot Tubing
Today I ran wire for wing tip lights in the left wing. I ran a total of seven wires which I platted together to reduce any radio interference. Here is what is now installed in the left wing:
For the future Aveo TL Landing Lights: 1. Landing Light---18 ga, shielded, white. Anticipate 1.35 amps at 14 volts. 2. Taxi Lights---20 ga. shielded, white. Anticipate 0.62 amps at 14 volts. 3. Ground---18 ga. unshielded black.
For the future Aveo Ultra Daylite Nav/Position/Strobe light: 4. Navigation/position light---20 ga. shielded, white. Anticipate 0.47 amps at 14 volts. 5. Strobe light---18 ga. sheilded, white. Anticipate 2.3 amps at 14 volts. 6. Strobe Sync Wire--20 ga. sheilded, white. Anticipate very little current. 7. Ground wire--18 ga. unshielded, black
I cut all seven wires 19.5 feet long, braided then together and pulled through the rib grometts.
Lastly I ran two 1/4" x 3/8" Tygon tubings in the wing for Pitot/Static lines. Tied to ribs #3, #4 & #5 with 0.020" safety wire. Wraped tubing with masking tape at each tie point.
