Brief Description: Strake leading edgesstrainers
|
|
Trial fitted & trimmed leading edge some more. Drilled overlap to hold with cleco.
Reassembled strainer installation frame, and nailed on the mesh for the port strainer, and trimmed to fit.
Floxed on starboard leading edge, clamped with cleco and mounted on a straight edge. Micro'd on a 1.5" wide bit of foam to the leading edge top, to act like a 'fish-tail" like the wing core trailing edge. Might work. Micro'd on a couple of planks with leftover micro. [Timewarp: Don't do this, was much easier to see if it was straight on the port side with just the bare skin boundary, and make it straight with the lumber stacked on top.]
Floxed on Port strainer, secured with hot glue blocks and a brick.
Layed up port leading edge over same form as starboard, 2 x BID and peel ply with EZpoxy
320g EZpox used.
