Brief Description: Upper cowling nutplates, first hack lower cowl
Trimmed yesterdays work. No surprise the upside down work looks rough, with a couple of delams.
Re-drilled attachments and refitted cowl with cleco, then replaced all with nutplates. Started fitting the nutplates to the strake/turtleback flanges before figuring out they needed to be on the cowling... :( Note that I am running out of nutplates.
Trial fit lower cowl, and start trimming the leading edge to match the upper. A useful measuring tool to visualise where the cowling edge lies within the flange iis two bits of steel strap held together with a cleco clamp.
Trimmy, trimmy
