Brief Description:  Canopy frame hinge hard point disaster recovery

Trimmed canopy hinge hard points, they now look level and in line, with the faces in the correct loacation. Phew.

Made a cardboard dam, and replaced missing core with pour foam. Patched a couple of other rough bits in a like manner.

Marked and cut hard points for gas strut mounts. Uli Wolter plans have the hardpoint at a 10 degree angle, with no indication how this is to be achieved. I'm not sanding this stuff, it is HARD! Make a wooden form to go over the hardpoint layup, profiling the 10 degree angle.

Cut the hard point sites for the canopy handles. Instead of making a crappy looking aluminium handle, I've got some nice light and reasonably attractive polypropylene handles from Goliath Truck Parts, courtesy of Bunnings Aerospace. They weigh 36g each. [Timewarp July 22: I see Russ Meyericks has a lovely LEATHER handle on his canopy, but he has way more class than me]

Cut the hardpoint sites for the forward canopy latches.

After cure, profiled all the pour foam
