Looooooong break. Had some big distractions. I've run out of 'in-sequence' tasks to do. I'm still waiting for a canopy and an engine mount. So went back and played with little things over the last couple of weeks.
I reamed out the CS123, there was some flox there, and they now work fine.
Both rudders are able to move through the centerline of the fin. This is bad. The line of the cut is a little wonky as well. I removed the port rudder, sanded the inboard leading edge straight and see I have a mostly 1mm gap with the fin. I hot glued a reasonably straight bit of plastic angle to the inner trailing edge of the rudder cutout, taped up anything I didn't want resin in, and layed up a 1" 4 x BID tape on the fin, extending about 3mm aft of the cutout. After looking at this for a while, and watching the gaps start to form, clamped a bit of taped hardwood over the layup.
I filled the rudder cable access hole in the outer port fin with modelling clay, then 2 x BID over the site, and peel plied.
