Decide to depart the plans a bit, on our national day.
This here's the wattle, The emblem of our land, You can stick it in a bottle, Or hold it in your hand.
Have a rubber seal to go on the edge of the flange, but it needs a bit more room to work, so routed an additional 0.25" flange on the, erm, flange. With profiling to make the glass lie down that makes the extra flange 0.3" wide, with the outer flange 0.8" at the bottom, and 0.65" on top. Realise after completion I should have cut the corner a bit wider at the front corners to make more room for nutplates. Pictures of the routing process didn't work AGAIN!
Taped off surrounds, prepped foam, (silly me slurried under the door), and applied 2 x BID overall, backwards to plans with the 1st ply the smaller with the 2nd overlapping. Buggered up the first ply and cut it to butt up to the bottom glass. Applied a 2" tape overlapping both to get back to profile.
Peel plied taping areas
Made flox corners to meet the inner glass under the LE of the Canard cutout. Taped off surrounds
