Brief Description: Shoulder rest outside layup
|
|
Filled flox corners, make flox fillet at sides.
Did the plans method to fill the hard points, wet out 4 x BID over a 5" square of peel ply, marked into 1.25" squares, cut it up and applied 3 to each hardpoint, making 12 x BID over each.
2 x BID over all, overlapping the top edge of the seatback, and 1" onto the forward side. One side was a bit skimpy after injudicious trimming, so applied a couple of tapes.
3 x UND tapes 4" wide & 13" long over hard points, overlapping 2" onto the seatback front and rear surface, and peel plied. The undercut back overlaps just keep falling off, so devise a Heath-Robinson array of sticks, plates and foam pads, located with 6" nails to hold them on. [Timewarp: occurs to me when trimming it would have been made much easier by dropping the nose gear so the seatback is more vertical. This wouldn't have been an option if I was doing this Chapter task in order, but even so...]
