Brief Description:  Elevator root fairings

Gap in the logbook for yesterday and no pictures means I can only guess I applied 1 x BID over the inside of the fairings and Elevator ends, including flox corners. I remeber the 3 x BID, each layer overlapping, applied over the relieved bits on the fuselage sides that were relieved to clear the forward Canard tabs.

Whilst walking past the aircraft with the Canard I bonk one of the level pads off the spar. I refitted it.

It is now today, and I realise the pads have no further use, the spar is taped and floxed to the fuselage, and the longerons will give the same level information, so bonk them both off again.

Trimmed the fairings, all OK.

Refit the Canard and check Elevator travel. Short 10 degrees!!! The cross piece bolts foul the fairings! Relieved the inside of the fairings with the dremel untill full travel returns, backed up the outside of the fairings with modelling clay, after fitting and removing the Canard 17 times. 1 x BID over the amended interior
