Brief Description:  Nose gear doors

Broke off the backing blocks, drilled, tapped & deburred STBD door and fitted.

Trial fitted strut and checked operation. All seems OK, still not sure what to do the closing spring...

Removed doors and cleaned up excess micro. Notice the AFT hardpoint is not vertical. Don't see a problem, in fact realise it may have been easier if all the hardpoints had angled in toward the middle. Doesn't matter. Measured up for required spring, then off to Bunnings Aerospace on the way to work.

After work...

Trial fitted Century spring C239 (3/8 x 6.5 x 0.047") at inner edge of doors. This brings the doors in too early and they jam on MKNG-15A & the tyre. Experiment with hinge positions with hot glue, operation gets better until 1 cm from the hinge, then gets worse again. At 105mm from the leading edge of the doors the spring snags MKNG-15A again, at 125mm it snags the nose fork. 115mm works well.

Figured wheel opening foam and some micro blobs with a Dremel ball cutter and prepped all. 1/4" masking tape over the hardpoint holes, with centres marked.
