Brief Description: Hot air hardware - installation
After a few trial assemblies of all the following hardware over the last couple of days proceed with installation. Also ongoing fiddling with canopy latches.
Closed up heater flap box with urethane glue and clamped with cleco. On cure patch the holes with more urethane glue and fit the actuator bracket from 2024-T3 0.032" with 2 x BSPQ-44 and 1 x BSC-42 rivets.
Drill the firewal with a 41mm hole saw, clean up the edges and fit the 1 1/4" SCAT, securing to the plans fibreglass T, and fixing that to the airbox with a length of 2" SCAT, all secured with the fancy ASS hose clamps of which I forgotten the numbers. All these penetrations will need setting in RTV, which I'll do when I'm finished. Fit the heat flapper box to the SCAT on the inside in both directions, and glued it to the floor with urethane, took 2 goes to get it clamped in place properly.
Removed the fuel valve handle, drilled a hole for the bowden cable above and right of the fuel valve handle in the center armrest and farted around for ages getting the nut/washer on and tight.
