Brief Description: TBI brackets, linkages and cables

Over the last 3 weeks make a new bracket and lever for the TBI for carby heat, priming and throttle. Mount the throttle cable without any real issues. I will need a spacer at the throttle end, as my careful measurements were not careful enough.
Got some hardware delivered. My aircleaner box has been held on by 1/4" roofing screws until now. I remember from John Slade's build log, (which I note is STILL ONLINE despite his passing about 8 years ago - https://canardaviation.com/cozy/ It is a marvellous read), his motor once ate one. Wouldn't like to do that, so drilled the heads for a safety wire when I finally install them.
Have made a series of mockups of the carby heat flap and heater flap from non-aviation materials and struggle badly with centering holes.
After many failures make a drilling jig that fits over 1/4" rod and finally get some holes that are centered enough to tap without breaking. Then manage to break off a drill bit in the level hole and do another! My drill press won't hold a bit less then 3mm, so go out and buy a cheap chuck that will go down to 1mm and finally have some lasting success.
Decide the heater flap rubber is too thick and inflexible, so make another, aiming for 1/8" thick. Weight for cure with spacers as before, but wrap it with polythene wrap this time. Peels off nicely.
Build all these bits again, and assemble with proper hardware.
Use another drilling jig to make matching brackets and reassemble the lot.
