Trimmed new layups, sanded trailing edge to a pleasing curve and test fitted repeatedly.
Made some leading edge tabs from scrap layups and rivetted them in place.
Made 2 brackets, fitted nutplates and secured to instrument panel. Refitted cover, and the brackets don't work due curvature of the cover. Hmmmmm. Replace them near the gas strut channel and they work just fine. Have to patch the unused holes at some point.
