Brief Description:  Filling canopy frame & nose bottom

Potted exposed nuts in canopy frame around hinge brackets, grab handle, safety catch, C8 with flox, plugged most of holes with micro'd plugs of blue wing foam, then topped off with FILL. (FILL from now on means 1 part West 410 fill, 2 parts micro and a dry West epoxy mix, laid over a wipe of raw epoxy. I'm mixing 1 pump of epoxy for hand mixing which fills my 500g margarine box, which is my preferred mixing container. For big jobs I mix 6 pumps of epoxy in an old Kenwood mixer, but you have to get it on quick before it exotherms, especially in a hot shed).

Sanded nose bottom and nose strut cover with 40g and slathered on FILL. Aimed for 1/16" overall, screed off the excess, and left any resulting bare patches, as it is too hard to avoid creating more when the FILL rolls up.

Prep sanded the bottom surface of the main landing gear legs and the surrounding fuselage.

Hot glued canopy forward lip drain tube to the back of F-22, faired with FILL and taped with 2 x BID.
