Brief Description:  Control sticks/armrests

Finish installing canard and elevators and hook up controls. Note that my markings for the canard attach bolts have disappeared - AN-4-11 on the right, -12 on the left.

Had not been able to put the passenger stick together after splitting it for a look, as the coolie hat and trigger switch keep falling out at the critical time. Secured both to one side of the stick with superglue, and install when cured.

With both sticks installed trim the armrests and left stick cover until I get full movement. Discover the stick will not go into both forward covers. I have installed the aft bolt through CS107 too far aft, and it contacts CS106. Rather than move the bolt I decide to hock out CS106 until everything works.

Make some templates for the new armrest profile around the stick from aluminium flashing and tape in place.

Holes in instrument panel foul both elevator pushrods inboard, mark for embiggening.

Rig some side windows to check clearance with the stick, and it is a bit tight. Adjust the sticks inboard a bit, and it is do-able, but I still routinely touch the window with the back of my hand. Spend some time pondering window bulges...

Remove left stick, drop the bearings and start formwork to reprofile the armrest.
