Finish wet sanded elevator tops 220/400g and try to pop them off the table. I discover that the epoxy wipe overuns have effectively stuck the elevator bottoms to the bench. They are stuck like sh1t to a blanket, and I have to hammer a thin paint scraper betwixt to get them off. Big blocks of the bottom fill remain stuck to the bench, and the skin is damaged in a couple of places. Aghast!
Even worse, whilst preparing for a repair, I note that at some point in the process I had sanded completely through one ply of the skin over the high points, and completely through the 2 x UND bonding on the counterweight on one side. Double aghast!
I mark the affected areas, and sand the surrounding for a skin repair patch.
