Brief Description:  Profiling canopy frame fill, more vents

I've lost interest in the Manual Ref for what I'm doing at the moment. I'm doing the fill of the canard which is supposed to happen at CH 11-06, but I didn't want to until I was clear what the canard cover was going to look like. The canopy fill is supposed to happen with the rest in CH25, but I see it as part of the current task. I am riffing between the Cozy IV plans and Uli Wolter's CC FHC plans, which are both CH18, but different. And probably noboby cares, even if somebody other than me reads this...

Remove the packing pieces, (the ones I can get out anyhow), and start profiling the fill with the longest boards that will fit. As suspected, the canard root is tricky. More fill remains than I would like, but I always knew this would be the case after belt sanding off the first attempt at the canard top skin. Left a 1.25" diameter fillet at the strake/fuselage join.

Make a form out of bits and bobs hot glued together and faired out with modelling clay to make the part of the vent duct that will be secured to the back of the instrument panel, extending forward about 1.5".

4 x 4oz over the form. Plans say 2 x BID, but I'm running short.

Use leftover resin to layup 4 x 4oz over the taped NACA form, just for fun, to see what it will look like from inside.
