Brief Description:  Engine cooling NACA duct figgerings

I've only seen Terry Schubert excited three times. Once was when I had wandered off with some of his food or beer or maybe his missus or even something else whilst I was somewhat inebriated at an Australian Canard Muster, the premier Australian canard events. Sorry Terry.

The other two times were when walking the line at Oshkosh looking at the canards on display, with Terry, Mr. Hertzler and some other notables commenting on this and that. And he got worked up on the Cozy NACA duct. I was worried about him, both were hot days and he got quite excited. Apparantly you can't call it a NACA if it has a pointy front, (which the Cozy templates generate), and there were many other comments, but it all got a bit arm-wavy.

Having downloaded a NACA plotting thingie to plan my fresh air ducts for the cabin I ran the numbers based on the length, depth and width of the NACA as it exists on the aeroplane at present, and generated a NACA profile.

I see that I can reprofile the pointy bit into a more NACA like thing, and match the required profile within 10% throughout, without any excavation into existing work, or more than 0.2" fill. Result.
Now I just have to get the Spodplane to Oshkosh so Terry can get excited, look underneath, then say, "Oh! This one looks OK..." I'll do it when the plane is upside down next. This result may be from me adjusting the plans plan to achieve a constant curve of the NACA bottom over the main landing gear cover
